Emergency lightbars have undergone a drastic change in recent years. They are now highly reliable and energy efficient and come laced with dozens of features that can prove to be of great help in rescue and search operations. Modern light bars come with a wider design in terms of dimensions, which helps not just in uniform weight distribution and ease of mounting but also for better distribution of light in all directions. The light bars have a low profile, sometimes just about 2.5 inches in height. This helps in lowering air drag and enhancing fuel efficiency. Moreover, the modular design of the light bars makes them very easy to repair or upgrade.

Emergency lightbars are extremely rugged and reliable, which is due to the special attention to detail that goes into their construction. For example, one piece extruded aluminum base or shock plates are used to provide structural strength to the light bars while still keeping them lightweight. Injection molded domes, which are UV resistant are also used along with gaskets and other forms of encapsulation. The polycarbonate base and compression gaskets not only make the light bars moisture resistant but also resilient to other harsh weather conditions. The light bars usually designed to meet certified standards, include LED heads which come with potted circuits that prevents shock and vibration in the form of bumping and jarring from affecting the functionality of the lights.

Advanced Emergency lightbars provide plenty of flexibility when it comes to operation. For example, each light head, LED module and strobe light present on a light bar can be operated independently. moreover, some light bars have front, rear and allbar operational control which helps in conserving energy by using only those lights which are actually required. Extended length LED corner modules are also provided in some light bars with special features like cruise control that allows you to alter the intensity to any level of your choice instead of set markers. One of the most advanced features seen in these light bars is phase control of the light heads, which makes it possible to flash them simultaneously or in an alternating manner. This also enhances combination flashing patterns.

Solidstate LED flashers are used in some Emergency lightbars. This makes it possible for you to easily alter and select the flashing pattern of your choice through a userfriendly interface. Advanced highly functional light bars come with a dozen front facing and an equal number of rear facing LEDs along with couple of side facing and corner LED modules to provide 360degree flexibility. Permanent mounting kit that includes clamps and brackets along with power cables allows you to easily install these lights. The highly resilient light bars also boast of a corrosion proof chassis and base due to which they can be used for marine lighting operations as well. Some light bars also have chrome plated mounting bezels to be used for brake and tail light visibility enhancement. Simple on and off switches are good enough to trigger the flash and strobe functions.
