Wherever you go, you would constantly be flooded with lots of different kinds of advertising. Oftentimes, this can be overwhelming so instead of remembering the ad and the business that sent the ad you forget about them all together. As such, you tend to block every ad that you receive so you don’t get bothered with unnecessary marketing ploys.

Business owner need to be more resourceful in order to find new ways to attract their customer’s attention and get their message delivered. There are actually plenty of unique ways to market these days but if they want the easy and effective way, they can always take advantage of guerilla marketing tactics. Guerilla marketing is actually about creating a buzz so people will notice the business. This, however, is done without too much effort and in less amount of investment. The goal is to create a marketing campaign that will create word of mouth and make your brand and the products or services you offer interesting.

There are different ways to do guerilla marketing. The following are ways to ensure that your campaign is catchy and effective.

- Have your materials printed uniquely. You can create unusually shaped business cards or postcards. You can use die cutting or embossing to add a unique appeal to them. An online printing company will make sure that your materials look as impressive and distinct as possible. Although creating unusual shapes and sizes would cost you extra, the additional expense would surely be something worth your investment.

- Create a buzz with your business as the centerpiece. You can do unusual stunts that will grab people’s attention. For instance, you can stage a fake protest in front of your store. You can ask some people to carry signs and act like protesters only that the signs they carry say positive things about your business. This will definitely make people stop to know what you are up to.

- Send out mailings that look impressive. You can cover your envelope with stamps or create an unusually designed flap that is sure to catch people’s attention and encourage them to read your message inside. Just make sure that your envelope, stationery and whatever material you use for your mail is printed well so people will still see you as a credible business despite the unusual look of your materials. There are plenty of printing services out there that will help you get the best print job without spending a fortune.

- Network by throwing a party. You can always have a celebration for important events. If it’s your business’ anniversary or your birthday, celebrate. Invite people to the event and ask them to bring their friends with them. Everyone loves parties, so take advantage of it to widen your network. It’s likely that you and your business will be the main topic of the event, giving you a good chance to find people who will likely be interested in your offerings.

Guerrilla marketing is different and unpredictable making it a useful and effective marketing tactic. You can do whatever strategy you think best fit your business to make it more memorable. But remember that in order succeed you need to take a chance and make a bold statement about your business. This requires confidence and creativity. If you think you got what it takes to carry out successful guerilla marketing campaign, then go ahead and do it.
