Police strobes assume a lot of importance especially in haze or harsh weather conditions where intense beams are required. There are both low output and high output strobe lights that can be used with power consumption varying between 1 and 2 watt LEDs to assemblies that consume hundreds of watts of power. The flashing patterns too have seen a lot of improvement and it isn’t uncommon to find strobes with more than 15 to 20 flashes per second. Some Police strobes come with good control features including different channels and stand alone modes.

The intensity of the Police strobes too can be varied depending upon the requirement. These are also referred to in some cases as unobstructed warning lights offering 360 degree visibility. There are powerful rotating lights combined with high wattage, flashing marker lights to provide high intensity beams that will prove really beneficial under adverse conditions. The casing is also of high quality and one can see the use of rubber gaskets to ensure a good watertight fit, which will prove very useful under wet conditions. Strong polycarbonate is also used to offer more resilience and resistance to corrosion.

Police strobes also come with a wide variety of switches including the rocker switches, which allows the possibility of individual control of different light panels. There are combinations of alley and takedown lights used in some of the emergency vehicles too. Strobe beacons are also used in a lot of cases where one would need dependability at an affordable price. The beacons are impact resistant and the polycarbonate domes along with the base offer extreme durability to these lights. It is also ensured in these strobe lights that the power sources are wired well and are moisture resistant to avoid short circuiting or external fusing. Similarly, the lights mounted on roofs of vehicles need to be vibration resistant. The feature will also help the usage of these lights in heavy duty vehicles.

Polycarbonate lens and base are used for some of the Police strobes too. These colorful lenses not only enhance the effects of the flashing patterns but also improve the visibility. Rotating beacons ensure that the warning effects are extended in all directions. Interestingly the beam temperature is also quite low which helps in preserving a lot of energy and keeping the lights secure under persistent rain. Brilliant flashes are sometimes offered by strobe lights which combine a high quality dome with the use of a high power source. Illuminated control panels are also used in some cases.

Diagonal mirrors are used inside the casing of these strobe lights which complement the use of colored lenses, helping in making the flashes more dazzlingly brilliant. The magnification effects of the mirrors and the lens also help in saving energy. These lighthouse lenses can be colored too, with red and blue being the most popular choices. There is polarity protection which prevents damages that could be caused due to improper connections. This ensures great security, irrespective of where the strobe lights are mounted.
